Steps for applying for Admission:

  1. Complete the online International Student Application Form and submit the required documents CLICK HERE for enrolment form. 
  2. An Unconfirmed Offer of Place and Invoice will be issued by the school (if application is successful) 
  3. Tuition, other fees including homestay fees are paid by applicant 
  4. Fees Receipt and Confirmed Offer of Place issued by the School
  5. Online application for New Zealand Student Visa submitted to Immigration New Zealand completed by applicant (in country of origin) 
  6. The School organises Homestay
  7. The Student’s family organises flights 
  8. Arrive at homestay / Liston College – take part in our Orientation Programme

NOTE: If the student is transferring from another school in New Zealand, a Letter of Release will be required, as well as a Reference Letter from the school’s International Dean.

 

International Students are selected based on:

  • Academic Record: previous school report
  • English Proficiency: writing and verbal skills
  • Student Interview (Zoom or face to face)
  • Co-curricular activities
  • Character References
  • Spaces available in the year level applied for
  • Subject and/or English exams may be administered for senior level entry

 NOTE: Enrolment into courses depends on a number of factors, including confirmation of prior learning, ability in chosen subjects, and at least an intermediate level of English. 

Students without the prerequisite level of English on arrival will be referred to the ESOL programme. This programme will be part of their mainstream timetable until the required English level is reached to be successful in their mainstream subjects.
