Please Note:
- All students are expected to have a device to use for classwork and homework. If there is an issue regarding the acquisition of a device, please contact Mr Swanink as soon as possible to discuss options. Information on devices can be found on the school website: http://www.liston.school.nz/byod-information/
- The stationery listed in this document is in additional to the device. Where a student is temporarily without a device they should ensure that their work is recorded in means (paper, shared with another student etc)
- All students are expected to have their own pencils, eraser, red and blue pens, ruler, pencil sharpener, glue stick, highlighter pen, blunt nosed scissors, coloured pencils etc.
- All students doing Mathematics at Years 8 to 10 are expected to have a 180° Protractor, a 30cm ruler, a Compass
- It is advisable that all Years 9 and 10 students have a Scientific calculator - Casio (Please name).
- It is strongly recommended that all students doing Levels 1, 2 and 3 NCEA Mathematics and Statistics Achievement Standards MUST purchase a graphics calculator (recommended model Casio FX 9750 G11 – available from Office MAX and other stationery suppliers). This calculator will be used extensively in these courses.
- All students doing Technology and or Graphics must have the following drawing equipment: 30˚ and 45˚ set square, 2H pencil (or clutch pencil), a compass and coloured pencils. Senior students will need in addition to this a more extensive drawing kit, including the following: aquarela colour pencils and a compass set as well as other items (the teacher will inform students of further requirements).
- Items available directly from The Graphics / Technology Department include:
- Graphics Kit containing A3 paper, compass, set squares pencils etc (recommended to purchased at Year 10 – available for $50 if purchased from the Department)
- A3 Drawing Boards $99 (optional)
- In some subject areas, specialised stationery is required, and often this is unavailable in retail stores. The school purchases this in bulk, at a discounted rate, passing this onto parents. Such stationery will be paid through stationery fees and made available to students at the beginning of their course.
- Where there is a materials or printing cost for a subject, these are for equipment / materials / stationery which students use to create articles which are taken home.
- The use of any type of correcting fluid or vivid permanent marker pen is not permitted.
