Honour your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Special Character Review
Next week, we will have the Special Character Review on behalf of the Proprietor, Bishop Patrick Dunn.  The review team will be led by Ms Kathleen Petrie, who will have Mr Paul Daley and Mr Keiran Foughy assisting.  They will be at school on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday interviewing staff and students, visiting classes, attending assembly and meeting with parents. Ms Petrie will join us on Friday at the Cathedral for the Liston Day Mass.

The Special Character Review is an important part of the review process for a Catholic school. We look forward to sharing with the team, many examples of the Liston College Special Catholic Character.

Liston Day
An important event in the life of Liston College is Liston Day. Mass will be celebrated at St Patrick's Cathedral in Auckland City. A number of students will receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Eucharist and Confirmation.

All students are involved in this day, travelling by bus to the city. They return about midday when they have lunch, followed by a concert showcasing talents of students.

This is a normal school day where students are expected to be at school. Absences will require a note from parents/caregivers.

Mother and Son High Tea
The Mother and Son High Tea has proven to be a popular event with ticket sales well above what we anticipated. This is the start of another tradition. We have established the tradition of the Father and Son Breakfast and this is a new tradition for Mothers and Sons.

Be sure to get your photo taken upon arrival. Photos will be available to take with you at the end of the afternoon.  I look forward to sharing in the afternoon with you.

Congratulations to:
