“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us.” – Alexander Graham Bell

Liston Day
We had our annual Liston Day celebrations on Friday 23 May, with Bishop Pat giving the Sacrament of Confirmation to a number of students. Thank you to Mrs Skelton and Fr. Kevin for helping prepare all of the candidates for the Sacraments. A few photos of the day are below.

In the afternoon we were entertained by various acts from the students who displayed an exceptional range of talent. Thanks to Mr Worth who co-ordinated the programme and to Pius Yi and Denzil Brokken who were outstanding MCs.

Progress Report
The next progress report will be posted home this week. While there will not be another Parent/Teacher interview until early next term, I would encourage you to contact your son's teachers if you have any questions or concerns regarding the report. I suggest you use email for this purpose. If you do not know the email address, call the College office (09 838 9350) and you will be given the appropriate information.

PTFA Wine & Cheese
The PTFA would like to warmly invite all parents and friends of Liston to come along for an informal get together. Come and meet the team and enjoy some wine and cheese on Monday 9th June at 6.30pm. See below for further details.

Congratulations to:
Junior Matautia winner of the Joshua Blackie Scholarship. Josh has provided this scholarship for the past four years. The College is grateful for his continuing generosity. Josh addressed the school assemblies and gave good advice on career planning.

God Bless you and your families.
