Dear Parents and Caregivers

Enrolments/Interviews for 2014:
We are continuing to process enrolment applications for 2014. If you are intending to enrol your son for next year or you are aware of someone else in this position please contact my P.A. – Deirdre Auger and she will advise you of the next steps in the enrolment process.

Japanese Visitors:
We have three groups of students from Japanese schools visiting the College. 13 students from Higashiyama High School, Kyoto will be here for one week and 4 students from Nagoya Kokusai High School will be visiting for six weeks. There are also 7 students from our sister school – Seisoku Gakuen High School in Tokyo. These boys and their teacher Mr Seito, are with us for two weeks. They have certainly appreciated the lovely late winter weather which is more like spring than winter!

There are a number of scholarships available to Year 13 students who will be studying at tertiary institutions next year. If your son is in Year 13 encourage him to check the
information from Mr McKenty who is co-ordinating the application process. Some of these scholarships are worth significant sums of money and go a long way to paying tuition fees.

Work-Day 17 September:
The Work Day this year will raise funds to replace the shade-cloth in the junior courtyard. These shades are ready for replacement and we will do this before the heat of summer arrives. More details will be sent home closer to the time.

Miss Mason finishes on Friday 16 August:
Miss Mason leaves us after 3 ½ years to travel overseas. We wish her well in her travels and look forward to hearing of her experiences. We are currently working to have a replacement for her classes.

God bless you and your families.
