Dear Parents and Caregivers

Liston Day
We had our annual Liston Day celebrations last Friday with Bishop Pat giving the Sacrament of Confirmation to a number of students as well as a member of staff. Congratulations to Ms. Hogan, Benjamin Edwards, Michael Edwards and Malek Ripikoi-Jackson who were confirmed. All three boys received the Sacrament of First Eucharist. Thanks to Mrs Skelton and Fr. Kevin for helping prepare all of the candidates for the Sacraments.

In the afternoon we were entertained by various acts form the students who displayed an exceptional range of talent. Thanks to Mr Worth who co-ordinated the programme and to Meor Cerna and Alastair Serrao who were outstanding MCs.

Board of Trustees Elections
Nominations have closed and we have six candidates for the four parent representative positions. The voting papers and candidate profiles will be posted out this week for you to have your say in who will represent you for the next three years on the Board of Trustees. Thanks to those parents who have offered to stand for election.

Special Character Review
We will have our Special Character Review from 18th – 20th June. Sr. Sian Owen will conduct the Review on behalf of the Bishop. This is something we complete every three years. It is different to the Education Review Office as it is specifically about the Special Catholic Character of the College. It gives us an opportunity to show the reviewer how we demonstrate this in the everyday life of the College. I will report the feedback from the Review when I receive it before the end of term.

Progress Report
The next progress report will be posted home this week. While there will not be another Parent/Teacher interview until the end of the term, I would encourage you to contact your son’s teacher(s) if you have any questions or concerns regarding the report. I suggest you use email for this purpose. If you do not know the email address call the College office and you will be given the appropriate information.

God bless you and your families.
